We promote collective ownership and democratic control over information, ideas, technology, and the means of communication to empower organizations and individuals to use technology in struggles for liberation.

We exist because we feel it is vital for communities of resistance to be able to provide for their own communication needs. We must not be forced to rely on insecure, profit driven means of communication which collect our information to sell it to the highest bidder, and bombard us with mind-numbing advertising.
